The Thieves' Gang
Well, now you are in the thieves gang. Don't be afraid, they are waiting for you not to rob but to play. Set up your mind on same pretty scoundrel and enjoy the game!
Scarron the Old
-Scarron is a kind of thief that rarely does the business himself, he's too proud to lower to a simple pick-pocketing. But he can teach and does it with pleasure. He's been with the gang for a long time and thus he's sort of a respected person. Once he's escaped from prison and has a lot of knowledge to share.
Scarron is sure there's no legal way for people to rise from poverty thus he chooses the other way. He's sure to kill anyone who blocks his way, his main strength is his physical build. No one would be glad to meet Scarron on a dark night. Although he's usually the heart of the company, he doesn't have much friends. The leader of the gang always takes Scarron's opinion into consideration, but he's not the ambitious type. He uses rather a hard language, that is very much a usual type of his speech. Scarron is also the keeper of the rules of the gang. When occasion calls Scarron always has the last word to settle up all the quarrels and other affairs. He's not much motivated by a personal gain, but he considers other opportunities.

Khalit the Eastman
-Khalit is not much of a traditional thief. He's a crook. His sphere is forgery, double-playing and likewise. But he's pretty close to several gangs buying their protection by some beneficial services. He spent his youth with the thieves of his native town, but now he states he's rather out of practice. Khalit is good with importing prohibited goods and also he's skilful enough to import many of the others toll-free.
He's always well informed of all going-ons and never loses his profit. Several times he had to escape from cities he'd fooled, but never had he lost his money.
He's able to deal with all people, one way or another making them trust him. Some of his deals are enforced by blackmail or even a dagger. He also provides the same kind of delicate services to those who pay.
Khalit knows how to talk to people, slowly but definitely finding out all their secrets, giving away none of his own.
He's a cunning and keen diplomat, but sometimes seems as naive as a babe unborn. He has some faithful servants, held by his wit and generosity. Khalit is politeness itself, but can say a lot of hard things if occasion calls. He's clever and successful, so he's a real Eastern man.

Paralicht the Leader
-Paralicht is a type of cunning thief dealing only for himself. But he's able to keep a good company, having acquaintances among all races and classes. He's not deprived of humour and able to keep the company laughing for hours. It doesn't mean Paralicht is off-guard, in danger he can find use of his dagger immediately. He can rule people pretty well, always getting as much for himself as he can. He's always with the winner although Paralicht is not able to win in an open battle. Intrigue is his sphere, in which he's in full power.
Not that he's incapable of a good deed, but he'll only do it in turn for some favour or after some negotiation.
Paralicht is full of different knowledge and mingles with all ranks. Some of the highest of this world sometimes use his services. He's clever, but also double-handed. While dividing the prey Paralicht would for sure get the most precious thing while all others think he's doing them a favour.
Paralicht always keeps something back. He can be motivated only by money. He has no real friends, but a lot of followers whom he holds by power and wit.
The most well-known prototype for Paralicht is John Silver from Treasure Island.

Vogell the Strange
-Vogell's life could only be described as a huge misfortune. He's a former peasant rather hard-working and stable. To avoid recruiting he killed one of the King's soldiers and after that he's chased all over the country. He joined the gang to find company and protection, and also because he had no other place to go. He's not good with thieving, but he's rather a faithful servant, no matter to good or to evil.
Vogell is not what one calls a wit, but in his heart he's rather kind and good-humoured. He's easily influenced by a more clever or cunning person, and will do a lot to such guy, being lead by friendliness and obedience. Such attitude is, however, not appreciated. After having experienced treachery several times Vogell really takes such things hard, but he's not able to learn on his mistakes.
In a company he's always quiet and rather sad, though sometimes can would tell anyone who bothers to listen stories of his village life. Vogell has done a lot of evil things without even being aware of it. Everyone in the gang knows the most safe way to make Vogell do something is to say thus he'll correct the unfair thing. But certainly sometimes he sees real evil things and suffers of his friends' cruelty. He's a deep believer, though considers himself lost for God. Others find Vogell unwise and half-witted.

Astruse the Beauty
-Astruse is a complete mystery to her companions. She appeared in the gang very quietly and the same she behaves, but everyone is aware of her presence. Her male says he found her in a tavern. She obviously has drunk a lot, but her gaze was steady and clear. She accepted his obscene proposal with a strange smile and said: 'Well, now it doesn't matter, I'm going with you".
While in good mood her male treats her with respect and even tender, but she accepts it with calmness and distraction, the same as his rudeness when he's in bad temper. She simply doesn't care.
In her eyes there's always much sorrow and pain which never disappears, even when Astruse smiles her bitter special smile. Her position in the gang is quite special, she has some luxury and never suffers from hunger or lack of money. Her beauty is striking even in simple clothes she wears.
Astruse sometimes appears to know a lot of things which are obviously a sign of education. Only once had Astruse been in violent rage - she all of a sudden began crashing things in a rich house the gang broke in.
Astruse usually does what she's told to, but when she says "no" that is for sure. Money never interest her, and obviously neither do other things.
